Location and Description
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is perched on the rim of the collapsed volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. It has the most magnificent views over the crater floor, which is home to vast herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, the rare and endangered black rhino, elephant, cheetah, leopard, lion and herds of gazelle and wildebeest.
Its position on the Eastern rim allows the most spectacular and uninterrupted views of the sunset.
Accommodation
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge has 96 suites of which most of them enjoy magnificent views into the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Each suite is fully carpeted and heated by oil fired central heating radiators in the winter months. The spacious bedrooms contain two queen sized beds with deep sprung mattresses to ensure a comfortable nights rest. The fully tiled bathrooms are equipped to a high standard with bath, shower, WC, bidet, wash hand basin, hair dryer and shaver socket.
Dining and Cuisine
The restaurant is in the shape of a rondvale, has a high roof and large glass windows to view the crater. From the inside the ceiling resembles the inside of an umberella
The menus offer good choice and at dinner you will have the opportunity to try a traditional African dish
